#ToiletForBabli - In search of hope, hygiene and health

As we all know our country India -  fastest developing countries of this world with a population off around 1,261,850,000, in which peoples including of all religion and races, making India the highest populated country in whole of the world. With so much of population, its difficult for India  to balance one of the main health related problems prevailing between its peoples that is SANITATION and HYGEINE.
let me tell you nearly 50% of Indian population is affected due to Open defecation which is majorly in the rural areas of India and most of them are childrens.
Babli, one of the girl who aims to persue higher studies and wants to do something for the peoples of her village. When she is back to her village after completing her 10th standard, she saw that the condition of her village was drastically poor for all the peoples residing there, and the main problem prevailing there was of a TOILET. She noticed that not even a single house in the village has a toilet, everyone goes to toilet in the open space, which is not good for the peoples especially for the childrens of the village.
Poor sanitation = Poor health of the childrens. This causes many diseases like cholera, typhoid, infectious hepatitis, polio and many more. Thinking of all this Babli felt very bad and she was not able to have sound sleep even she was not able to go to Toilet comfortably also. She thinks to work for them in a way in which she can teach them the use of toilet by various means and also the ways its helpful to the villagers children. She thinks to force her parents first to make a Toilet at her home for their personal use and then at first she plans to teach her neighbors and relatives and then so on. She took a vow that she will bring the change and make not only her village but also try to make all the places like her village.
So friends this problem is not only the #toiletforbabli problem but its the same for all childrens practically who are residing in rural areas of India.
Now Domex has started an initiative to handle the Open Defecation problem in India. They have joined forces with UNICEF to help improve access to basic sanitation for hundreds of thousands of people in areas that need it most. By supporting UNICEF’s Community Approaches to Total Sanitation (CATS) programme, the Unilever Foundation and Domex aim to improve the health and well-being of those in need and create sustainable approaches to improved sanitation through programmes that promote good hygiene practices, improve the health and well-being of communities, help create demand for access to toilets and raise awareness of the sanitation crisis.
Domex is giving a chance to its consumers to contribute 5% of its profits to basic sanitation. They are helping in promoting good hygiene practices by raising awareness of sanitation crisis.
